Main Elements Report

 

Suitable for the buyer of a property where the intention is to carry out extensive refurbishment works or where the property is newly refurbished and in excellent condition where the client wants an informed second opinion of the structure of the building. This report is more condensed in comparison to the Building Survey.  It provides a thorough investigation of the main elements of the structure of the building – the walls, the floor, the roof.  Tests will be carried out for rising dampness and any evidence of rot and advice will be given as to whether repair work is necessary.

This report does not include advice on internal or external decorative finishes, plaster work or services such as gas, electricity or water.  It is tailored to suit those with plans to carry out modernisation or refurbishment works and therefore require less advice on the more superficial or decorative aspects of a property.
