True Associates are Chartered Surveyors, Project Managers and Party Wall Surveyors, based in Kensal Rise and Kensal Green. We are proud of our reputation for honesty, integrity and professionalism. Having opened for business in January 1991, we are now well established with an experienced, strong and loyal workforce, who work together to ensure the best possible service for our clients.

We specialise in providing support services to property management companies, large and small, being knowledgeable of the landlord and tenant Act 1995, Section 20 procedure and the difference between maintenance and improvement works.

What we do

  • Specific Defects Reports

    Where concerns exist over a specific fault or defect in a property, a more focused investigation may be carried out. Examples of this specialist work include problems with cracking, dampness, timber decay, structural movement etc.

  • Building Surveys

    One of the most important purchases you will make is that of your home. An in depth investigation into the condition of the property is therefore advisable. True Associates do their best to write reports that are understandable by the lay person client and are always willing to give advice over the telephone after the survey has been posted.

  • Main Elements Reports

    Suitable for the buyer of a property where the intention is to carry out comprehensive refurbishment works, or conversely where the property is in excellent condition and the buyer simply wants reassurance that the structure of the building is sound. This report is more condensed in comparison to the Building Survey.

  • Architecture & Project Management

    We offer bespoke architecture and project management, from concept through to completion.

  • Schedules of Condition

    A typical example of the need for a Schedule of Condition would be for a tenant before they move into a property.

  • External Maintenance & Repair

    True Associates can prepare Schedules for the upgrading of the exterior of your property, either for your own enjoyment or to increase the marketability of your property should you be considering selling.

  • Expert Witness Report

    We have represented clients in the County Court and the Construction Industry Court on Chancery Lane providing expert advice to the court on contractual disputes between clients and builders.

  • Party Wall Matters

    True Associates are experienced Party Wall Surveyors and are members of the Pyramus & Thisbe Club for Surveyors specializing in The Party Wall etc. Act 1996.

  • Renovation, Restoration & Repair

    At the heart of True Associates lies an experiences team of Building Surveyors headed by the Director of the company and supported by an experienced and qualified architectural technician.

  • Insurance Valuations

    We undertake all aspects of insurance claim work including the preparation of Specifications or Schedules of Repair for claims such as storm or flood damage, fire or vandalism claims, as well as project managing the reinstatement of works

  • Licence to carry out alterations

    All leaseholders are obliged to obtain formal written approval from the freeholder of their property for any internal alterations beyond decorating and the modernisation of kitchens and bathrooms. True Associates are regularly employed by property managers on behalf of their freehold clients to advice on such proposals.

  • Section 20 Procedure

    Our surveyors are knowledgeable of the landlord and tenant Act 1995, Section 20 procedure and the difference between maintenance and improvement works.
